Cries of the dying.  Falling bodies, some dead before they touch earth, others suffering for hours around choked breath and the fading hope for help.  Clashing weapons, metal on metal, hooves beating muddy earth and the stench of sweat and blood as thick in the air as the mist.

All fade to the opening of your eyes.  You shudder as the chill of mist and mud soaks through the scraps of your armor.  The stench of bloat and cooling flesh surrounds you.  What strikes deeper is the overwhelming silence: there's not a sound, save for carrion birds rejoicing in their bounty.  You survived the battle, but your journey has only just begun.  You have to keep going...

500 Paces is a 2-3 hour adventure designed for Mork Borg mechanics and 3-4 players to enjoy (or be horrified/devastated by, as the case may be).  You and your party survived a harrowing battle, but still have a mission to complete: make your way to the keep and defeat what lies within.  This booklet includes 18 pages of art and story elements to inspire your game.
