LGS employees recruited to top secret Triangle Agency

Ever wondered what kind of gaming shenanigans your LGS staff get up to after hours? Read on for some goofy insight, and a (spoiler free) glimpse of the hot Ennie-Award winning RPG Triangle Agency!

Back in May, some of the staff at One Eyed Jacques had the dubious pleasure of being scouted and hired by the Triangle Agency. This corporation takes great pride in efficiently apprehending, containing, and studying Anomalies: reality-bending entities that threaten the integrity of our plane of existence. The Agency has seen fit to place them in the cover of Ternion City’s newest indoor mall chain: The Min Max Mall! Since their onboarding, these fledgling Agents have grown into quite the characters.  Come meet a member of the team below!

Character Highlight

Mags: General Manager

Pronouns: She/Her, So/Done

Played By: Sam, He/Him

About Her

Mags is one woman you wouldn’t want catching you lazing, loitering, or lollygagging about. This spritely, eccentric, and perpetually peeved English woman keeps the team both on their toes and on task! She went to school at [redacted] and graduated with honors with a degree in [redacted] [redacted].

She began her work at the Triangle Agency after a run in with [redacted], an Anomaly that swallowed both the first Vice President of The Agency, Mister [redacted] and Chairman, Mx. [redacted], as well as crumbling the first three floors of a nearby parking garage and weakening reality's threads between this world and one filled with kaiju-

… We’ve just been informed that we are not permitted to speak any further on the subject, as the censures are becoming increasingly annoyed and the loss of the parking garage is still a tender subject.

Interviews

Below is a transcription of  exclusive interviews with Sam, the Game Master running the campaign, and Mags, the General Manager in charge of the team.

If you and your friends are interested in running a Triangle Agency campaign, Sam offers a bit of insight into what it's like, while Mags offers... her style and unparalleled wit!

Sam

Interviewer: What has been, in your opinion, the most challenging part of preparing for sessions?

Sam: Deciding what anomaly to throw at my players. There’s a lot of great options, but I have to be mindful of where each character is in their arc and what would - not push, or force, but… create an opportunity to further their story best.

Interviewer: What do you think is the most fun mechanic or flavor tidbit for you? Like, what is the thing that you, as a DM, were like, “oh yeah, I need to run this for this bit alone,”?

Sam: I think it would have to be [Redacted]. [laughs]

I can’t actually say. What I can say is that GMs will have a delightful time going through the GM-only section. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time, reading it. I also really enjoy the fact that you, both as a player and as a GM, are canonically a part of the world.

Interviewer: That you’re, like, tied to it?

Sam: From the moment you open the book, you’re in it. Oh, and players: you cannot read that section, or you’ll get a demerit!

[The page turns, the GM resituates, and Mags prepares for her interview.]

Mags

Interviewer: If you can disclose this information, how did you come to be the General Manager for this group in particular?

[Mags responds in posh, drawling British accent.]

Mags: This group? Hm, well, downstairs there’s this… claw machine. It has these prophetic premonitions, you see, and whatever it pops out goes. It dropped a vision and the higher ups were all, "well, Mags has to now!”

And I said, “Ok, brava,” and that was that. [She waves her hands dismissively and crosses her legs]

Interviewer: Do you work somewhere in the mall with your agents, or are you offsite most of the time?

Mags: I do work somewhere, yes. Someone has to create a sense of ambiance, make the mall seem a little less empty. I wander about, filling in the crowd - keeping an eye on things and gracing my employees with my presence.

[She pats at the underside of her bobbed hair, preening]

Occasionally putting on a little disguise, mix it up a bit -

Interviewer: - Like a moustache? [Both laugh]

[End of Interview.]
