In Buru, take on the role of nobles in the 14th century Majapahit empire. On the orders of the king and his vizier, you have sailed the seas in order to expand your empire through commerce and diplomacy. You've arrived on the island of Buru, and now it is time to explore, trade, and make friends with the people of the island in order to gain the favor of the people of Buru and maybe even the king. Over five rounds, each player will secretly place explorers on the four regions of the island in order to gather resources, recruit the people of the island, and pay tribute to the spirits in order to earn esteem. After the five rounds are over, the player with the most esteem wins!
