Between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Brazil's largest landowners - the coronéis - starved the poorer communities along the north-east coast.  Amidst the harsh landscape and the harsher hearts of the wealthy, a new profession rose: Cangaço - a form of banditry.  The Cangaceiros donned leather armor adorned in coins and embroidery, took up arms, and stole from the rich while often showing kindness to their fellow poor communities.

In this game, you play as a band of Cangaceiros trying to survive the landscape, dodge Volantes - police officers trying to take you down, garner fame and recruits, and train your chief to both better lead your gang and achieve their life's goal.  The band with the most fame by the end of the game wins!
