Magic: The Gathering is bringing us back to the basics with this 2024 core set: Foundations!  This run has goodies for both new and veteran players, as it contains both older and beloved cards with foundational mechanics, as well as new cards that build on Magic’s core components.

For new players, this set is the perfect tool to learn the Standard format, as the cards for each colour were selected and designed to highlight their traditional strengths and weaknesses.  For veterans, there’s the promise of new cards in this set that will be relevant to the direction of all of MTG, but especially Draft, for at least the next 5 years!
