In River of Gold, players will take on the role of merchants of different samurai clans, sailing down the titular river in the lands of Rokugan. Players will build shrines, markets, manors and ports, collect goods and currency, deliver those goods to various individuals that each come with her own special bonus, and increase their influence throughout the six different regions that border the river. 

Based on the Legend of the Five Rings' wildly popular world of Rokugan, players will find themselves transported to a beautiful land of samurai, kitsune, and nobles with a beautifully inlaid holographic board. Each player color also has their own idividual shaped boats, making each clan feel unique.
