In The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, players assemble a band of adventurers who must work together to resist the threats of Sauron.  This is a cooperative game where players work together to complete scenarios.  As a "Living Card Game" additional cards, scenarios, and quests will be available in future expansions, allowing players to continue to customize their decks. 

The Revised Core Set includes a new campaign, cards to allow Campaign Mode, and entirely new Boon and Burden mechanics that add cards that persist with the players from scenario to scenario.
